Safeguarding

General Safeguarding Information

NeneGate is committed to safeguarding all children and young people. We believe that all children and young people have an equal right to protection from abuse, regardless of their age, race, religion, ability, gender, language, background or sexual identity and consider their welfare is paramount

We will take every reasonable step to ensure that children and young people are protected. All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
Safeguarding Squad. We are proud to announce a newly developed "safeguarding Squad". This comprises of several students from 3 key stages who have put themselves forward to help support our students in and outside of school, directing them to a responsible adult and offering support.

They are recognised as  safe people to talk to and share concerns with and know that any worries will be passed on to the designated safeguarding team who will take whatever course of action is required.
The safeguarding squad will also be delivering peer support to Key stage 2 regarding "Gaming" and how to stay safe when playing on-line

Although it is still in it's infancy it has been warmly received by all students.

The safeguarding team organise outside agencies to deliver workshops to the students and parents as well as organinsing safeguarding mornings which looks at all the key areas.
